Meet RedFowler Tollers

About Us

Welcome to RedFowler Tollers, home of CKC registered Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, and a life built around our love for this incredible breed.

Our journey began in the summer of 2019 when we met our first Toller and instantly knew this was the breed for us. That moment led us to Laredo, our first Toller from Tara Tollers, and the dog that started it all. One Toller quickly turned into a passion for the breed, and RedFowler Tollers was born from that love.

We are committed to breeding for temperament, health, and type, always with the breed’s best interests at heart. Ivy, from TruePatriot Tollers, and Whiskey, also from Tara Tollers, joined our family not long after and helped shape the foundation of our program.

Our dogs are so much more than breeding prospects, they’re well-rounded family members who participate in a wide range of activities with us. From conformation shows and trick dog titles to sprinter events, and training for agility, scent detection, and working certificates, our Tollers are versatile, intelligent, and eager to please. Each fall, they also join us for waterfowl season, where they get hands-on experience with different birds and real-world retrieving.

At the heart of it all, RedFowler Tollers is about raising happy, healthy, and driven Tollers who are a joy to live with. We’re proud to share our love of the breed with fellow dog lovers and are always excited to connect with others who feel the same way.

Our Philosophy

At RedFowler Tollers, our breeding philosophy is simple, to preserve and protect the breed by producing dogs that exemplify the breed in every way; temperament, health, structure, and versatility. We believe Tollers should be more than just a beautiful little red dog, they should be smart, sound, and capable. That’s why we focus on well-rounded versatile dogs who can thrive in the field, shine in the ring, succeed in performance sports, and most importantly, be loyal, loving companions at home.

We’re dedicated to:

  • Temperament: A sound, biddable, and loving temperament is non-negotiable. Our dogs are chosen for their stable, friendly, and joyful natures.
  • Health: We follow all recommended health testing through the CKC and OFA, to ensure we are making responsible, informed breeding decisions.
  • Structure and Type: We aim to produce Tollers that meet the breed standard in both form and function of the breed.
  • Purposeful Exposure: Our dogs are introduced to diverse experiences that build confidence, drive, and adaptability.

Breeding well-balance dogs, between purpose and companionship, is at the heart of everything we do. At RedFowler Tollers, our goal is to raise capable, confident companions who are ready to thrive in whatever life has in store. Our Tollers are our passion, our pride, and part of our family first and foremost— and that’s exactly how we raise them. They live in our home, sleep on our couch, and share our lives.
